Katrinda, Displaying multiple properties on one webpage? No, the calendar is one property per page that displays all 12 months. You are looking for a Linear Calendar, properties listed on the left. Maybe something to look at in the future. Naturally, it would be easy for you to create multiple links on one page. If you set up something like below and created a hyperlink on each property name, for example. Viewers would then select a property, view all months and return to the Calendar Links page. Maybe not what you are looking for, but not too bad. Click on the links below to review our calendars Moosehead Oceanview Desert View Etc, etc. Cost of Webhosted Calendar? This is free for licensees and included in your initial cost. Initially, I planned to charge a hosting fee. Is not included in the cost. I tried to delete references to an annual fee, but judging by your question, may have not deleted a reference. I'll check it out. GaryF

I am a newbie, not afraid to admit it and still learning my way around the program. I have read the help file concerning this topic, but I still have a couple questions. My first question is - Does this program have the capability to produce a calendar that shows all of your properties on the same webpage? My second question is - your webserver is free for the first year as far as publishing the calendar goes, but what is the cost after that? Thanks for your time!

Kalinda & Others on the Clutter Issue Thank you for your comments We are working on a new release with quite a few new features. At the same time, we will be spending quite a lot of time looking at the screen layouts and making easier on the eyes. One of the features we are working on will allow the user to have the ability to eliminate all of the variables references from the screens (all of the #nn). While these can be helpful when setting up documents, they can be visually distracting the rest of the time. So with quick checkmark in a box, all of these will be removed from the screen and the input boxes will be expanded. This will make a huge difference. Also, we are looking at ways to better present the settings file and main screen to make it easier to read and easier to find things. Keep those cards and letters coming. GaryF

| I just downlaoded & registered the program and I think it is a very effective program. I love all the options that you have installed, but I have to agree on having a choice of a cleaner background. Especially for those of us that suffer from ADD our eyes are easily distracted. I have shut off the hula dancer and put up the cleanest background available. Yet on a laptop screen, I feel that the some of those designs take away from the meat of the program. | |

For a jump start in using the program, I would look at the Help/Welcome/Test Drive. Give this a whirl and let me know what your second impression is. No plans to make any major changes to interface. GaryF

I fully admit that I'm new to the property management thing and therefore have not taken a chance to review the other options out there, so I'm not well versed in this type of software. However, I am extremely computer-literate and spend most of everyday in front of a computer using various programs ranging from simple MS Office applications to complex modeling software. Anyway, the reason for this post is that I just downloaded the software and was somewhat surprised by the interface. My surprise came from the fact that I was completely overwhelmed by all the little buttons and do-dads and the fact that I didn't feel like I had any idea of where to begin or why. Because I usually find new programs intuitive, I'm surprised by this and wonder how many others have this reaction? I work in a very technical field and end up spending part of every day (in a very small firm) trying to help everyone else use very simple programs - or teach them to use them beyond the very basic extent which just seems intuitive to me. I guess my experience makes me wonder whether you're alienating some potential customers who can't get past the interface? Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that I'm the be-all, end-all of computer users, I'm just trying to relate my experiences. In an effort to actually provide some constructive (hopefully helpful?) input, I'm just wondering if there could be an option for a very "clean" version of the interface. While I usually prefer looking at dark backgrounds with light text (such as this forum), the current interface makes me feel as though I'm in a gothic castle lit by torches at night and that I really can't see/process what is around me. There are things blinking at me everywhere and it seems that every tiny space is dedicated to a little button and I'm not sure how all those little buttons relate to the whole. In a nutsheel, I guess I find the interface overwhelmingly busy. Maybe it is something that just can't be accomplished in a sleek, simple format that allows for anyone to just get in there and start using the software? Maybe after sitting down with the help file I'll understand what is happening. I just wanted to offer my initial impression since I felt like I had a strong and unusual reaction (for me anyway).

For those that don't care for Hula dancing, the version available for download now (free for existing licensees) can be switched On and Off via a setting in the Preference File. GaryF

There was a bug in which the office notes were dissappearing under certain circumstances. This occurred while opening the Statement Window with a reservation selected status of RED and making a change to the statement. This bug was corrected on August 5 and a new version was uploaded to our website for download. If you use the office notes and/or statement window, it is critical that you download the new version with the fix. The existing records wll not be written over although it is always a good idea to back up your entire rmata file folder before doing a download of this type. This file folder contains all of your reservation records, correspondence and user preferences and should be backed up frequently anyway. The download can be found at the link below: www.vprmanager.com/download/vprmsetup.zip The zip file should be extracted to the same folder your software where currently resides, the default location would have been Program Files/VPRManager GaryF

Gary, Once again I just want to thank you for the software. I know the last time that we spoke you were trying to either get something that was web based or possibly usable on networks. Any luck? If you could find any way to integrate this software with Quickbooks and possibly added some maintenance cleaning functions that would serve as forms it would be awesome. Then again, you can basically make your own forms so this is just wishful thinking. Thanks again, Jarad

| I have researched many of the same programs that you refer to and agree with your conclusions. Many are overkill and far too complicated. One of the things that we are striving to achieve with VPRM 3.0 is to make it "Easy but Powerful". Most of our users are doing this stuff in their valuable spare time and don't a lot of time to train themselves on how to learn the Software. We try to create a lot of flexibility, and with flexibility sometimes comes complexity. However, we will try to stay true to our original mission and still add more features and power to the program.
